We are trying to dot our "i's" and cross our "t's" getting ready to turn in our final report, of our women's labor union retreat, into the Berger Marks Foundation. At the Highlander Research & Education Center there is a scrap book for guests to sign. It was signed and decorated by many. It was nice to read about others who have spent time there and how empowered they felt at that moment. Jill was inspired to write a poem and decorate a page in the book. I thought I would share it here...

Mountain Magic...calming place.
Heal us from life's hectic pace.
Folks will gather, leave as friends.
Memories of Highlander will never end.
Union strength our common goal.
Union Sisters feed our souls.
